Besides racing on the real race track Laurin is also part of the Porsche Esports Team and competes in various Simracing championships on the virtual track.
The Virtual Le Mans Series currently takes place, the Simracing equivalent to the FIA World Endurance Championship, where Laurin shares driving duties with his teammates Joshua Rogers and Mack Bakkum in LMP2-class.
The season highlight is held in January. The virtual 24 hours of Le Mans where a prize pool of 125.000,- Euro is at stake is the most prestigious simracing event of the year.
Next to the competition the simulator is also a useful tool for Laurin to keep his rhythm during winter and to prepare for his upcoming races in the best way.
