The yearly Porsche Motorsport Junior Shootout was taking place in Spain, Aragon. There Porsche is searching for the new Porsche Junior. A total of 12 candidates sent from various Porsche Carrera Cup championships from all over the world were coming together to follow their common dream: A driver contract at Porsche.

Over the course of three days the drivers were assessed in sessions on track, in front of the interview camera and mental tests.

Not only a financial support of 225.000,- Euro for a cockpit in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup is waiting for the upcoming Porsche Junior, but also driver coaching from former Porsche factory driver Sascha Maassen, medical care by University of Potsdam as well as media and mental coaching.

At the end Laurin managed to prevail himself against the competition and fulfilled a dream of his. Signing his Junior contract he’s one step closer to becoming a Porsche factory driver and can look forward to full support from a manufacturer for the first time.
