As part of the British Grand Prix already the qualifying was more than exciting.

Rain started to fall right at the beginning of the session which made it key to set the fastest lap time as early as possible to secure a starting position up front. It was clear that on slick tires only the first timed lap will be meaningful.

Despite some „close-calls“ I managed to qualify on the front row of the grid. It was on the inside which is a great position for the race on Sunday.

The decisive move on race day already took place right at the start - after a good launch I used the inside line to be in the perfect spot for the Turn 1 to take the lead. I successfully defended from an attack to stay at the front of the field and even get a small gap on the cars behind me.

A Safety-Car halfway through the race bunched up the field which made the last sprint to the flag even more exciting.

After 14 laps I crossed the line first in front of over 300.000 spectators. I managed to win my first Porsche Supercup race of the 2022 season and gained valuable points on the championship lead.
